About Us

We provide  a wide range of services throughout Northern Ireland and The Costa del Sol, including hourly, daily, overnight, respite care and live in care packages.

Our care services are bespoke to each service user.  Each care plan is tailored in partnership with the service user to take into account their unique needs, goals and aspirations. This ‘person-centered’ approach gives our clients more choice and control over when, and how their support is provided.

Abbycare was founded by me,  Karen Harding , qualified in Health and Social Care  and counselling, I also have over 30 years experience in the care field. 

After achieving a Law degree, I started my career, as a support worker offering one to one support and care to the elderly and vulnerable adults, including individuals who may present with behaviours which challenge. 

I loved working within the sector and before long I became the manager of a busy care home and domiciliary care service for a number of years. Before opening my own business , I was employed as assistant director of a voluntary organisation offering care and support to vulnerable adults in the community.  In my  role I managed a large staff team and was fundamental in  policy design and implementation within the care sector.

I have many years experience in assessing and implementing care plans to meet individual needs and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care.

Our aim is to provide quality care without compromise. Our team consists of highly qualified health care workers who have a wealth of experience. We work to meet the needs of our clients and provide an in- house induction and training for our carers. The professional and personal support that we provide ensures that the right health care professional is matched with the right family.
